Our Services

  • Pruning — general term for various techniques of removing branches. We employ shigo's recommendations for compartmentalization (To prevent infection which might damage the rest of the tree).
  • Formative pruning — taking control of the tree's growth at an early stage in its development reducing the need for heavy pruning in the future.
  • Shaping — hedges and trees
  • Thinning — for when the crown has become too thick, blocking light out for other plants, selectively removing excessive branches.
  • Reducing — removing height and reshaping. Typically used where trees are leaning due to improper weight distribution and to protect utility lines like BT.

Plus...

  • Lifting — removal of branches at base of tree.
  • Section felling — where large or heavy material is being removed from the tree, the surrounding features and structures (i.e. overhanging greenhouses/ roads) are protected by lowering down pieces safely on a rope.
  • Dead-wooding — as it says, removing the dead wood to prevent damage from falling branches, and to protect the tree from infection.
  • Stump-grinding — mechanical extraction of the stump. Requires a minimum access width.
  • Planting — we can plant for you.
  • Recycling — We strongly believe in caring for our our environment, so whenever possible we use recycled materials in our work, and also endevour to recycle the waste products we produce.
  • Fencing — Erection of garden fencing
  • Chainsaw training — to approved NPTC standards
  • Terravention — is the process of addressing soil compaction in the vicinity of trees. Compacted soil inhibits the supply of oxygen, moisture and minerals to trees roots often causing crown weakening and dieback. This process opens up the soil to allow the roots to ‘breathe’ and also introduces natural nutrients into the soil to help stimulate new growth.
